Ok, so I KNOW I commented on one of our fellow bloggers posts that as SOON as I got back from LUNCH on FRIDAY i was going to answer the questions from DRAZIL'S post....

GUESS WHAT?

When I got back from lunch my computer had a virus or something and it wouldn't let me do ANYTHING.

I eventually had to call the computer tech guy to come FIX my computer!

So, here we go, the PROMISED post!

1. If you could change your first name would you, and what would it be?

I would never change my name. By now you ALL know I LOVE myself, and my NAME is also included in that LOVE. My full name is MARY CATHERINE MALONE SELLERS. Mary Catherine is my favorite name! I thank my mom all the time for naming me that! I would never change it, and also I WISH people would still call me that. Over the years it has been shortened to Mary, Mary Cat, or just Cat!

2. Why are man cover holes round?

Honestly, I have NO idea, and can I just say I have never even thought about that! I am too much in La La land to even recognize they are ROUND!

3. What are your biggest pet peeves?

Now that I am actually thinking about this, I don't know. I say the phrase "that gets on my nerves" so many times a day I might have to many to process! Gosh, even me not knowing the answer to that is getting on my nerves!

4. If you could be a car what would you be?

??? I don't even know what kind of car I own! JOKING! I do know what kind it is! I am SO not a car person. I can't even name something "cool" because I know nothing about cars! Oh, don't they say cars typically look like their owners. Ummm, maybe that is not true maybe that is dogs. Anyways! It would be something with a big back end!!!! My car would def have some booty!

5. What's the biggest thing you have learned from a blog this week?

I TON of stuff! I read so many blogs and seriously LEARN from each and EVERYONE of YOU! If I haven't ever told ya'll THANK YOU!

I have an announcement to make.....

I THINK I AM BEAUTIFUL and I LOVE MYSELF!

I am being SERIOUS ladies and boys! :)

Yesterday I decided to take some before pictures. I take lots of pictures of myself, but as I started looking for some of them I realized they were all face shoots. Not only face shoots, but face shoots where you hold the camera tilted above your held so you are looking up, you know the ones where they make your DOUBLE chin go away and also make you look like you did a good 75 pounds ago!

Come on ladies, I KNOW ya'll KNOW what I am talking about.

So, like I was saying I had my sweet co-worker take some before shoots of me in front of a door in my office.

Now I was thinking I was going to HATE these pictures when I saw them.

I had imagined how horrible these pictures were going to look, how I would be so ashamed to post them and let the WHOLE WORLD finally see ME!

Guess what.

I LOOKED at those pictures and I thought to MYSELF,

GIRL YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.

Not just face pretty, I even thought my body looked BEAUTIFUL.

I know everyone is thinking, how can this be?

How can someone so over weight look at a FULL BODY picture of THEMSELVES and their response be, MAN I AM A HOTTIE!

I really don't know the answer.

Maybe it was because I was wearing really dark jeans and a black shirt???????

Just JOKING!

To be brutally honest I have always thought I was BEAUTIFUL.

SCARY, I know.

When I went to the Weight Surgeon, one of his questions was..."Do you have issues with your self esteem or feel uncomfortable about your body?"

I immediately answered, "NO!"

The truth is I don't, I probably should, but I don't.

To be honest looking at those before pictures kind of made myself question the surgery.

If I LOVE my body so much, why am I having weight loss surgery.

The answer is I HAVE too for my HEALTH!

I want to be healthy! I really WANT to have a BABY!

It does make me worried, because I hope I still LOVE myself this MUCH after I loose weight. I hope I still have this pureness about me. I hope I still can find BEAUTY in EVERYTHING and EVERYBODY! Regardless of size!

I want to encourage all of you to go look in the mirror!

Tell YOURSELF that YOU LOVE YOU!


Find SOMETHING about YOURSELF that you think is absolutely GORGEOUS!

Take that time to tell yourself that YOU ARE IN LOVE WITH YOU INSIDE AND OUT!

I know I am. I think that is why I KNOW this SURGERY is going to be such a success for me. I think I am in a really good place in my life right now. I am COMFORTABLE about who I am as a person! I am COMFORTABLE with ME!

Now here is the pictures I took!

I am going to start taking more full body pictures and post them!

Now as I am looking at these photos I am starting to think TWICE about this post.

MAYBE I don't LOOK as GOOD as I THINK i DO!!!!!!

Just kidding!

I know it's crazy but I can still find BEAUTY in them, maybe not PERFECTION, but definitely BEAUTY!

Have you ever done illegal drugs?

Have you ever done illegal drugs?

That was one of the questions I HAD to answer on the paperwork I HAD to fill out for my Lap Band Doctor.

HONESTY.

I am so honest it sometimes is not a good thing!

MY answer....... And yes, I REALLY did write this down on the paperwork!

I did do some illegal drugs when I was a teenager. It was when I was like 16/17/18 years old. I feel really bad about it. I used to smoke pot and some pills like zanax and stuff. Sometimes when I used to smoke pot it would make me go crazy. Like get paranoid and black out and stuff. I think I have adverse reactions to illegal drugs. I changed my life, found JESUS! Please don't think bad of me!

Yes, Ladies. I really wrote this and turned it in!

Good thing my Doctor has an AWESOME sense of HUMOR!

He laughed and LAUGHED!

He told me not to worry. When he was getting his medicine licencure he was asked that same question, have you ever done illegal drugs. He marked NO without thinking. He went through the whole interview process and they never mentioned it. He started thinking about it and realized he hadn't told the truth because he had smoked pot in college. He actually felt so bad about it 3 days later he called the interviewer back and confessed! They told him everything was fine!!!!

So, that is why he thought it was so funny that I answered like that!!!!

I guess we have honesty in common!

Realize Band

Hello!

Hope everyone is having a fabulous week so far!

Guess what?

I met my DOCTOR yesterday!

YAY!

He was so NICE!

I was so NERVOUS!

I was actually so nervous I totally forgot ANY and ALL important questions I should have been asking! The only question I could really remember to ask was about my HAIR! Which, he probably thought that was kanda weird that my major concern would be about my hair!

He told me everything looked great, and that if my insurance company didn't make me wait 6 months he would operate on me tomorrow!

That made me feel a little bit better!

He also told me he would be putting a REALIZE BAND IN. He thought it would probably be an 11cc band. Hope I am saying this right. I am not down with all the band lingo yet.

I was a little surprised by this though! I knew he preferred the Realize Band, but never thought that he was probably going to be putting that type in me.

Anybody with a Realize Band, let me know how you like it! :) Oh, and if that sounds right, the 11cc!

He told me all about the horrible stuff that "could" happen, and asked me if I had any questions about that part. I answered with a firm "NO!" He asked why? I just simple told him, "NONE of THAT stuff is happening to me!"

I asked him about the dreaded skin........ and he answered just how I knew he would. It is all about genes, age, water, and exercise!

I told him what a total chicken I am, and what a HUGE step it was for me to even come THIS far! He asked me if I was going to back out? I told him not now, but the day of the "PROCEDURE" I couldn't make ANY PROMISES!

He said he wouldn't let me back out that far into it, he said HE would even come to MY HOUSE to get me! Now that is great service!

When we were almost done he told me he couldn't wait to operate on me! I asked, WHY? He said you seem FUNNY and you have never had any SURGERIES, this ought to be FUN!!!!!!!

I have a funny story to tell ya'll tomorrow! It totally has MARY written all over it! The DOCTOR thought it was HILARIOUS also!

Mary's BEAUTIFICATION Report

Since I have to WAIT 6 LONG months to have MY lapband surgery I thought I would start posting things that are dear to MY HEART!

MAKEUP honey!

I am LOVING all these orangey tones for the spring and they are SUPER HOT right now!

I went super light with just a TINTED MOISTURIZER for my foundation.

Peace.....

I love the feeling of just absolute PEACE!

Can I tell ya'll that GOD is a great GOD!

I had some time the other night to have some just quiet time with the Lord!

I really needed that!

Some time for me to spend ALONE with GOD and just PRAISE and WORSHIP Him!

What did I get from my alone time?

PEACE!

HOPE!

I came home Monday night, and I was just in one of those moods.....God I need you now moods.

I flipped on the tv and listened to a WONDERFUL message by John Hagee.

Boy oh boy did I NEED that message!

It was about putting on The Helmet of The HOPE of SALVATION!

I got a REVELATION from God guys!

I have been at PEACE every since!

Reality.....

Just when I am sitting at work and thinking......

Grandma Shoes

I decided to name this post Grandma Shoes.

Why? You ask.

It perfectly describes my past couple of days...

GRANDMA SHOES

Not only do I feel like Grandma Shoes, I probably need to be wearing Grandma Shoes!

Yes, that's right! I am 27 and need to be wearing Grandma Shoes.

These are the kinds of shoes I normally wear.

Basically some kind of cute flats.

These are the kind of shoes I DREAM about wearing...

I now need to wear GRANDMA SHOES because I am having some problems with my leg.

I went to the doctor on Thursday and she told me I had damaged the tissue in my leg, kinda like a shin splint, and needed to wear supportive shoes! :( Blah!

They also told me I had laryngitis and bronchitis! Double blah! :(

I just had a GRANDMA SHOES weekend!

Grandma shoes are super boring, no fun at all, just blah!

So after I left the doctor, I felt sorry for myself because I was "sick."

I HAD to REWARD myself....

with...

and...

and a HUGE COKE...

Then as though that was not enough. I ate 3 packs of mini Cadbury Eggs. Who would even admit to eating 3 packs of anything! They were the little bags though! :)

In all this I have really learned something about myself. I read all these blogs of people and hear about all these people who "eat in secret." I have always thought to myself....I don't do that. I am not one of those people who stop at McDonalds on the way home from work and order a value meal in secret, then get home and cook dinner and act like I haven't eaten. Even though to be honest when I read about people doing this I thought, hey not a bad idea! Just joking! It is just something I have never done.

BUT, what I do is just as bad.

I REWARD MYSELF WITH FOOD.

When I feel sorry for myself because I AM SICK, or I AM HAVING A BAD DAY, or I HAVE BEEN SO BUSY I DESERVE A COKE, or IT HAS BEEN SUCH A CRAZY WEEK, or SOMEONE HAS HURT MY FEELINGS.......

In ALL those instances I rewarded MYSELF with BAD FOOD!

The Perfect Pair of Jeans...

I absolutely love my perfect pair of jeans.

They are the perfect color and the perfect fit.....

When they fit!

I haven't been able to wear them in 3 long years!

I miss them.

Today as I am searching online trying to find a pair of jeans that will fit, I really miss my old jeans. They were the last pair of jeans that I owned that I really really liked. All the others I have bought since then have just been get-me-bys until I can fit into my old ones.

IT HAS BEEN 3 LONG YEARS SINCE THEY HAVE GRACED THIS BOOTY!

Hopefully they will again one day soon.

I own two pairs of jeans right now, and guess what? They are both ripped. Doesn't that just stink when your legs are so big they rub together so much it thins your jeans to nothing. Then one day when it is extremely inconvenient, you climb into your husbands truck and they totally rip in a not cool area. I know ripped and shredded jeans are in stlye, but not when they are ripped in between you legs and up to your crotch! :) That is totally so not cool!

So this is a message to my favorite pair of jeans that are hanging so nicely in my closet.

I WILL GET BACK IN YOU!

IT MAY NOT BE TODAY.

IT MAY NOT BE IN 6 MONTHS.

BUT TRUST ME THERE WILL BE A DAY!

Oh, and just a side note. The picture of the girl in the jeans at the top of the blog is not me. Ha ha. I know that isn't very hard to figure out! I just wanted to make sure everyone knew!

When I can wear my favorite pair of perfect jeans again, I PROMISE I will post a picture exactly like that of ME in MY jeans!

Wishy Washy

Hello blog land! What a weekend!

First of all...I have 30 followers! Wow that is great! I am so excited about that!

I titled this post Wishy Washy.

I am so wishy washy about my Lap Band surgery. Has anyone else every felt like this? Maybe it is because I am in such the early stages of this process. I feel like every day I change my mind at least 15 times about whether or not I am going to go through with "it."

Is this normal?????

Sometimes I start thinking, ya'll should be warned I over think everything, and it is like I have myself talked out of the surgery in 10 seconds.

At the end of the day I have always talked myself back into doing it.

I need this.

I have got to STOP thinking of this surgery as an elective surgery and START thinking of it as a HAVE TOO!

So, my goal of this week is simple...

QUIT BEING WISHY WASHY!

I HAVE MADE UP MY MIND!

I AM DEFINITELY HAVING THE SURGERY!

NO BACKING OUT NOW OR EVER!
